To get into the festive season, try these Christmas Tree Cupcakes. They are a simple way to impress and show off your fondant skills! For the cupcakes, refer to either the “Basic Vanilla Cupcakes” or “Basic Fluffy Vanilla Cupcakes” recipe.

Ingredients
  • 175 g white fondant icing
  • 175 g green fondant icing
  • 2 tbsp raspberry jam
  • Coloured sugar balls, to decorate
Method
Roll out the white fondant so it is about 2cm thick.

Cut out circles of fondant to match the size of the cupcake, using a round cookie cutter.

Spread the cupcake with raspberry jam to help the fondant stick to the cupcake and to add a little flavour.

Roll out the green fondant to the same thickness as the white base (about 2 cm). Using a Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out 12 Christmas trees.

Make sure the tree cut-outs will fit onto the cupcake without overlapping the edges. Use more raspberry jam to stick the Christmas Tree onto the cupcake.

Decorate the Christmas tree with the coloured sugar balls to look like ornaments on a Christmas tree.

Happy Baking!

Christmas is my favourite time of the year and these cupcakes will be perfect to make my families christmas ever better. I love the fluffiness of these cupcakes they are so soft and the best way to begin any Christmas whether its lounging at home watching Netflix or chilling at the beach in Cuba.
