Truffles are the perfect shared lunch, gifts or bite-sized snack. The creamy, orange-flavoured filling coated in dark chocolate will leave you wanting more!
45g heavy cream
100g dark chocolate
2 tsp orange zest
30ml orange juice
1 tbsp vegetable
Method Combine the butter and cream in a medium saucepan over a medium heat.
Remove from heat once starts to boil.
Add half of the dark chocolate (50g), orange juice, and orange zest. Stir until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a container.
Place in the fridge for 2 hours.
Line a tray with baking paper.
Once firm, spoon the truffle mixture in the palm of your hand and roll into a ball (around 1tbsp).
Chill for 35 minutes.
Place the remaining 50g of dark chocolate into a microwave safe bowl on high for 1 minute.
Stir the chocolate and place back into the microwave for another 30 seconds (if chocolate isn’t melted). Place one truffle at a time into the melted chocolate and using a fork, scoop the truffle out and place onto the tray.
Repeat for the remaining truffles and chill until set.
