This classic apple crumble is the perfect winter dessert, with its golden crumble and stewed apples! This recipe has been passed down to me by my 90-year-old grandmother. I have made it many times before and it’s always a show stopper!
Ingredients · 1 cup rolled oats · 1 cup plain flour · 1 tsp ground cinnamon · 1/2 cup brown sugar · 820 g diced apples · 50 g softened butter
Preheat the oven to 180˚C and get out an oven-proof bowl.
Place the diced apples into the oven-proof bowl. Note: other fruits work as well, e.g. peaches.
Combine the rolled oats, flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter in a separate bowl. Then rub the mixture between your fingers, until it resembles bread crumbs.
